TrusteeConnect membership is designed for third sector organisations that want a structured, credible way to strengthen board capability, both through recruitment and ongoing development.
Membership provides access to skilled professionals interested in voluntary board roles, alongside practical support to help boards operate effectively in a challenging and changing environment.
What membership includes
Board recruitment support
- Access to a growing network of experienced professionals across finance, legal, HR, IT, strategy, and leadership
- The ability to search, connect with, and approach potential voluntary board members
- Promotion of board opportunities through the TrusteeConnect platform
- Ongoing visibility to new professionals joining the network
Training and board development
- Access to TrusteeConnect’s programme of governance and board development sessions
- Training delivered by subject matter experts
- Sessions covering financial oversight, trustee duties, fundraising, collaboration, political engagement, and organisational sustainability
Trustee Buddy Scheme
- Structured peer support for new voluntary board members
- Designed to build confidence, support good governance, and improve retention
Ongoing support
- A proportionate, relationship-led approach
- Support aligned to the realities of third sector governance
- No commission, no success fees, and no pressure to recruit through informal networks
Membership pricing
Membership fees are structured to reflect organisational income and ensure TrusteeConnect remains accessible across the third sector.
Annual membership (12 months):
- Income up to £400,000 – £300 per year
- Income £400,000–£800,000 – £600 per year
- Income £800,000–£1.2 million – £900 per year
- Income over £1.2 million – £1,200 per year
All membership tiers include full platform access, training, and support for the duration of the membership period.
A proportionate approach
TrusteeConnect is not designed to replace internal processes or informal networks, but to complement them, particularly where boards want to broaden skills, improve diversity of experience, or plan for succession.
We work with organisations including charities, housing associations, credit unions, social enterprises, and community organisations across Scotland.
